Preparing Files for Uploading Using Audacity for Windows

Audio File Specifications

Audio files to be:

• mp3 format
• 24 kbps minimum
• 48 kbps maximum
• mono (stereo or dual channel takes twice the file size)
• single track - this site is not designed for multiple tracks

Editing

Please clip off any singing before or after the message and any commentary that is not a part of the message. One second of silence before the message and practically no silence after the message are ideal.

Audio Quality

Two important factors impacting recording quality are microphone distance from the speaker and microphone stand isolation. A microphone that is too close (2 inches or less) to the mouth can result in poor quality, but having the microphone several feet away can really degrade the quality. A microphone that is not acoustically isolated from pulpit and that picks up any bump of the pulpit surface degrades quality. A vibration isolation material should be used rather than a hard surface for pulpit mounting of microphones.

Duplicate Entries

Please avoid duplicate entries by first searching for all messages by selecting the preacher in the preacher drop down box then clicking "Search" on the home page. Confirm that message has not been uploaded previously. If you have a higher quality audio copy, feel free to upload your better copy so that the poorer copy can be replaced.

Qualification of Messages

This site is only for Holy Ghost inspired preaching that is doctrinally sound and by ministers that are in good standing with the general body of the saints. All messages posted are to be in conformance with the message of the Evening Light Reformation.
